WiseFin is a record-keeping tool. It is not financial, investment, tax, or legal advice, and it is not a substitute for a bank, accountant, or licensed advisor.

1. No advisory relationship

Nothing in WiseFin โ€” including dashboards, budgets, spending charts, investment totals, category labels, or any AI-generated text โ€” is a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any security, to incur or pay debt, or to take any tax position.

We are not registered with OSFI, the OSC, CIRO, or any other Canadian or foreign financial regulator as an advisor, dealer, or institution. Using WiseFin does not create a fiduciary, advisory, or client relationship.

2. Not a bank and not affiliated with your bank

WiseFin does not hold deposits, issue cards, move money, or provide account aggregation logins. You import files you already have.

WiseFin is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Toronto-Dominion Bank, Royal Bank of Canada, Bank of Montreal, The Bank of Nova Scotia, Tangerine, President's Choice Financial, Wealthsimple, American Express, Rogers Bank, or any other financial institution. Institution names appear only so you can label accounts and parse statements you upload.

3. Accuracy

Balances and totals depend on what you enter and what our parsers extract. Statement layouts change. OCR and PDF extraction can misread amounts, dates, or merchants. Always verify against official statements before you file taxes, apply for credit, or make a financial decision.

Investment figures use end-of-day public market quotes when available, plus holdings and balances you enter. They are not a live brokerage feed, official NAV, or audited position statement.

Credit-card cashback and travel-insurance summaries come from a bundled Canadian product catalog (and rates you type for cards not in the catalog). We never store your card number. Benefit estimates are reference only, can be incomplete or out of date, and are not a certificate of insurance. Confirm with the issuer before you travel or make a large purchase.

Insurance entries in WiseFin are a household reference list โ€” policy name, provider, coverage amount, and notes you type. We do not store policy numbers, policy PDFs, or claim documents. Entries are not proof of coverage.

4. Tax and reporting

WiseFin is not a tax-preparation product. Category names (for example "Medical" or "Charitable") do not mean an amount is deductible. Consult a tax professional and keep official records.

5. Past information is not a forecast

Historical spending and income in the app are not a prediction of future results. Budgets are user-set limits, not advice that a limit is appropriate.

6. Your decisions

You assume all risk for decisions you make using WiseFin. If you need advice, speak to a licensed professional who knows your circumstances.
